Job Description:The leader in Atlantic Canada’s poultry and egg processing industry is looking for an innovative and creative individual to join the team in our Hatchery Division.
This position has responsibility for general hatchery work including, removing chicks from the hatcher, cleaning and disinfecting the hatcher, trays, and parts, transfer of eggs from setter to hatche r trays and general clean-up. Pick up and delivery of hatching eggs is required every second Saturday and during vacation relief. Must be able to work flexible hours within a 40 hour work week, which may include holidays and weekends. Some overtime may be required.
This position will appeal to an applicant with a Grade 12 education, a valid Nova Scotia drivers license with air brakes, previous experience and a proven commendable record driving a straight truck. The successful candidate must possess excellent oral/written communication skills, a strong commitment to health & safety, effective troubleshooting skills, and the desire to work in a team environment.
