Social Worker

St. Joseph Community Health Centre
(1 Temporary Full-Time Position)

Summary of duties:
Reporting to the Facility Manager of St. Joseph Community Health Centre, the social worker provides bio-psychosocial assessment and treatment, primary care services, health promotion and community outreach and development in a team environment. Interfaces with both hospital and community agencies in matters related to patient care and social work and collaborates with the health professionals and agencies in order to provide quality services.

Qualifications required:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in social work from an approved school of social work;
• Must be a member in good standing of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers and meet the requirements of the Canadian Association of Social Workers;
• Written and spoken competence in English and French is required;
• Must have good previous work and attendance records;
• Must demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently, initiative, sound judgement, organisational skills, and public relations skills.
