Full-Time Contract Position
Project Manager

Working within a community based employment and skills development agency located in Truro, the successful applicant will provide management support, staff supervision as well as facilitate the identification and development of employability enhancement programs and strategies in the communities of Northern Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for proposal development and submission, supervision of project staff and ensure activities and outcomes are achieved.

Post secondary education or equivalent in the areas of Business Administration, Community Development or the Social Sciences, coupled with at least 3 years experience in the areas of community capacity building and project development is required.  The position also requires management skills, demonstrated problem solving ability, excellent interpersonal skills, proposal writing skills, background in the field of employment and skills development, and a commitment to excellence. 

Computer skills are required. 

Wage: $ 23.00 hourly. Based on a 35 hour work week.  Contract position expires March 31/09.  Potential for additional annual contracts.
