Laboratory (Microbiology) - Chaleur Regional Hospital (Bathurst)

Job Summary:
The incumbent will carry out scientific/consultative and administrative work in the microbiology sector of a regional laboratory, under the direction of the Regional Director of Laboratory Services and the Laboratory Manager. Responsibilities also include supervisory duties, as well as clinical and technical work in the laboratory.

Requirements:

• Current registration with the New Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists;
• Current registration with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science and an ART certificate (Advanced Registered Technologist) in Microbiology or a Master's Degree in Clinical Microbiology;
• Minimum of six years related experience;
• Leadership and supervisory skills;
• Problem-solving skills;
• Perseverance, good organizational skills, meticulousness, responsibility, efficiency, flexibility, good communication skills and ability to make responsible decisions;
• Bilingualism (English and French).
