Quality Assurance Technician

The successful candidate will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and will help Big 8 Beverages maintain its high quality service and standards.  The essential job functions will be:

• Performing quality control tests, including chemical, microbiological and physical measures
• Accurate and meaningful reporting of testing results
• Analyzing and reacting to results of testing, audits
• Ensuring all quality control guidelines are adhered to within the plant
• Constant interaction with production employees
• Working with QA manager to develop, implement and maintain quality standards and protocols

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent technology certificate
• Lab experience – microbiology and/or chemistry testing
• Strong interpersonal skills – must be team oriented
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Physical capability to perform the duties of the job
• Working knowledge of MS office programs
• Experience within the food or beverage or related production environments
