Maintenance Planner

Halifax Shipyard is a division of Irving Shipbuilding Inc. which specializes in new ship construction, ship repair, ship conversion and vessel refits, is currently recruiting for a Planners.  The company has been carrying out ship repair, building quality ships and fabricated modules for over 100 yrs. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop Work Packages for the Production Team
• Develop Pick Lists
• Maintain Daily Status of Work Progression
• Provide Assistance to the Production Team
• Interface with the Purchasing Team and Track Material Availability
• Attend Daily and Weekly Progress Meetings

Education Requirements – Knowledge & Skills:

• Demonstrated planning experience in a Engineering Environment
• Demonstrated planning experience in an Industrial Environment
• Experience with Project Management Principles would be considered an asset
• Planning experience in the Shipbuilding Industry would be considered an asset
• Strong Computer Skills including the MS Office Suite and Auto CAD
• Strong Communication Skills
