Senior Mechanical Designer

GN Thermoforming Equipment is an internationally recognized manufacturer of quality machinery and tooling for the plastics industry, presently exporting to over 60 countries.   We are located 40 minutes south of the City of Halifax in the picturesque seaside community of Chester, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.  www.gnthermoforming.com       

Since our first export almost 30 years ago, we continue to enhance our product line and services to the thermoforming industry.

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Engineering Department.

If you have the following skills and attributes, we would be interested to hear from you:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum five years of design experience (automation equipment)
• 3D CAD application experience
• Proven analytical and creativity skills and an appreciation of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerances
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• FEA software experience would be an asset
