Valve Shop Supervisor

For over a decade, our client has offered its customers highly specialized instrumentation, certified valve repair and testing, mechanical and calibration services throughout Atlantic Canada.

Due to recent growth and as part of their succession plan an opportunity exists for a Valve Shop Supervisor. Reporting to the Services Manager, you will be responsible for supervising up to 10 people, mentoring and training junior technicians, organizing daily schedules, troubleshooting and ensuring equipment is repaired in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Although the majority of work will be completed in the shop, the incumbent is required to provide services offsite and offshore when necessary.

Qualifications include:

• 5 - 10 years of valve service experience
• Excellent experience in troubleshooting, testing and repair of safety valves within a VR Pressure Relief Valve Certified shop
• Instrumentation and machining/millwright background
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead
