Manager, Engineering

We are currently seeking a Manager of Engineering who will be responsible for leading the Engineering team in the design, implementation, and test of hardware components for products, to be based in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia location.

The Manager, Engineering will be responsible for:

• Working effectively with the Project Management team to define project scope, including deliverables, goals & objectives, and resource requirements for engineering initiatives
• Development and delivery of presentations to clients and internal stakeholders
• Promoting and introducing new technologies, development tools and methodologies
• Managing, developing, and mentoring a professional technology team
• Management of the engineering team budget
• Other responsibilities as required

The successful candidate will possess:

• Electrical Engineering Degree; Candidates with professional designation will be given preference
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role in a product-based electronics environment
• Experience with electronics manufacturing issues such as part selection, availability and procurement, obsolescence, and DFM
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey advanced technical and scientific concepts effectively to small and large groups
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment
