Product Managers

We are Cobham Surveillance, part of Cobham plc, an international company employing more than 13,000 skilled professionals.  From our facilities in Dartmouth and Windsor, Nova Scotia, we develop, manufacture, and market electronic tracking and locating equipment for markets around the globe.

We are currently seeking Product Managers to join our Marketing team.  The positions will be based in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia location.

The Product Managers will be responsible for:

• Managing all aspects of the product lifecycle from product idea generation through to end-of-life, including development of Product Requirements Documents.
• Making decisions involving all aspects of the assigned product line(s), including day-to-day issues of released products
• The development and management of the complete product roadmap(s).
• Clearly articulating product strategy and plans to senior management and strategic partners
• Gathering, understanding and interpreting market requirements
• Developing business cases for new and existing products
• Establishing product pricing strategies
• Integrating competitive, business, and resource considerations to develop product plans that lead in the marketplace
• Prioritizing feature and product requests while considering development impacts
• Internally promoting the product vision and plans
• Collaborating with key internal contacts in the development of new and existing products, including sales, R&D, production, and quality assurance.

The successful candidates will possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science would be an asset
• Three + years of experience in one or more of the following areas: product management, client-facing technology-related role, or pricing
• Experience in electronics/manufacturing and/or technology environment
• Previous experience in a defence or law-enforcement related industry or environment would be an asset
• Proven track record of managing hardware/software products through the complete product life cycle, and experience in managing multiple concurrent and complex product lines with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships both with customers and key internal contacts
• Proven ability to deliver successful products to meet market demands
• Ability to travel internationally (<25% of time)
