NSAHO is a non-government, member driven association of over 100 organizations committed to the health and well-being of Nova Scotians. Our members include district health authorities, the IWK, continuing care providers, and other health-related organizations. Our Clinical Engineering Service offers a provincial technology support program to health care organizations with base offices located in New Glasgow, Bedford, Kentville, Bridgewater, Amherst, Truro, Yarmouth, and Antigonish. We currently have an opening for an Electromechanical Technician to join our clinical engineering team in western Nova Scotia to be based in Kentville. This is a 6-month term position.
You will be involved in the delivery of maintenance service on a variety of sterile processing and electromechanical patient care devices and support asset management activities. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of health professionals within a team-based environment, and to provide an essential service toward the health and well being of others. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a graduate electronic or electromechanical technician or equivalent and an interest in the health care field. A good working knowledge of general computer applications is a requirement.
