One of our Saskatchewan based mining clients is currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work in Regina. In this leadership position, you are responsible to provide a focal point within the project engineering team and to other functional areas. You are also responsible to lead your discipline engineering team to complete design and engineering of Shaft sinking setup. Your solid technical background in shaft sinking and mine development technology and design will be utilized at the project as well as surface construction design.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the discipline engineering team to develop complete engineering packages for successful project completion.
- Develop and over see the execution of the Project Engineering Plan.
Develop engineering schedule, inspection and test plan, quality plan and project engineering resource plan. - Coordinate the detailed engineering activities in accordance with project scope, schedule budget and company procedures.
- Perform project engineering management by utilizing standard project management analytical techniques.
- Ensure that all design packages meet national and international standards and codes, good design practices and constructability requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable client standards and specifications, including our client’s policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager to monitor and update project schedules.
- Ensure compliance of all standards for Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Liaising with subcontractors and other internal groups such as Procurement, Project Management and Construction Management.
- Ensuring project documentation is complete with respect to design and construction, including all completion packages, as-built requirements and return data information.

Qualifications for this position include:
- A degree in Electrical/mechanical/structural/mining Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years experience in design and engineering
- Experience or knowledge of Project Engineering Management will be an asset
- Eligible for P.Eng. Certification in Saskatchewan
- Strong leadership qualities to motivate and engage a multi-discipline engineering team for successful completion of the projects
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Superior interpersonal, organizational and relationship management skills
- Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and time lines
