Our Transportation group provides comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of airports and aviation, bridge, rail, roadway, and transit projects. Responsibilities:

An immediate opening exists in our Edmonton Railway group for a Track Designer. Our intent is to grow this practice area significantly across the company, and this is a ground floor opportunity to assist in developing our rapidly growing business sector. Responsibilities include:

  • Take a hands-on role in track design projects
  • Work with the Rail Practice team to implement the strategic business plan for the group


Qualifications:
  • P.Eng. or eligible to be registered with APEGGA 
  • must have minimum 3-5 years experience in railway track engineering
  • experience with grading & track design for mainlines, sidings, industrial yards and spur tracks, intermodal & transload facilities, light rail
  • software experience - AutoCad, MicroStation, Civil 3D, In Roads, InRail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Assets:

  • railway operations planning related to industrial facilities
  • ability to complete conceptual plans, preliminary & detailed designs, cost estimating
  • track construction supervision experience
