Our client is seeking a Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer / Engineering Geologist for their Vancouver office. The successful candidate will have:

• A degree in Geology / Mining or Civil Engineering. A MSc. in a rock mechanics related field will be an added advantage, but not essential.
• Approximately 10 years experience in either operational or technical consulting roles in hard rock mining.
• Exposure to both open pit and underground mining would be desirable but not essential.
• Experience at a variety of mines and in a variety of mining methods will be highly considered.
• Strong analytical skills are required.

The successful candidate will consult on projects for North American and International clients, requiring travel to varying environments. Assignments will include geotechnical evaluations related primarily to the mining industry.
 
As a consultant, the successful candidate will be expected to create and maintain client relationships and work in a team environment. Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities are essential.
