Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics technology; Military experience an asset but not required
• Minimum of seven years experience with avionics systems
• Demonstrated experience in Systems integrations, testing and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated database experience (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429)
• Proven written and oral ability
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of software products
• Self starter demonstrating leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to obtain a Canadian Industrial Security Clearance to SECRET level within one year and COMSEC clearance
• Must be eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and government security clearances

Description of Duties

• Represent company and act as liaison at aircraft R&O facility
• Participate in the development of systems engineering solutions for avionics systems
• Work with customers to define user requirements and system interfaces
• Participate in the design, prototype and fleet fit of avionics installations and related ground equipment
• Co-ordinate technical activities and data exchange between DND and L-3ES
• Provide field service support for avionics systems
• Develop execute and report results of test plans in support of engineering investigations
• Maintain an understanding of and ensure compliance with L-3 ES Engineering, Security and Safety and Health procedures
