Our client is seeking a Senior-Principal Civil/Geotechnical Engineer for their Vancouver office. The successful candidate will have:

• A post secondary qualification in geological or civil engineering with courses in construction and geotechnical engineering
• At least 10 years of engineering experience, including design, procurement and construction supervision for earthworks structures and related appurtenances, preferably in a mining environment
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience
• Experience in dealing with hydrogeological challenges in a mining environment will also be considered an asset

The successful candidate will manage and undertake engineering projects related primarily to the mining industry, including geotechnical aspects of project design, construction, operation and closure.
 
As a consultant, the successful candidate will be expected to create and maintain client relationships and work in a team environment. Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities are essential.
