Our client has an immediate opening for a Construction Manager for their operation.

As the Construction Manager, you will possess the following skill set:

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum seven years experience related to construction and/or project management;
  • Industrial construction and/or mining experience preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • Post secondary education (Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma) or equivalent experience related to Project Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex construction projects within established timelines and on budget;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective client relationships;
  • Knowl edge of Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental legislation;
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation Board requirements;
  • Fundamental understanding of all relevant employment-related legislation;
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills;
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management, delegation & prioritization skills;
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of common software applications;
  • Knows and understands construction scope and objectives;
  • Experience reading drawings and/or interpreting specifications;
  • Knowledge of scheduling and planning;
  • Demonstrated ability to steward an effective meeting;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several simultaneous activities, establishing priorities and delegating responsibilities as required;
  • Excellent verbal and written commun ication skills;
  • Recent training in First Aid, WHIMIS and CSTS.
