Mechanical Engineering Technologists/Engineers

We are currently seeking two (2) Mechanical Engineering Technologists/Engineers to be based in our Windsor, Nova Scotia location to support a high volume electro/mechanical assembly environment.  

The Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Support Group Leader and will be responsible for:

• Providing assembly support for jigs, tooling, and processes to ensure daily production targets are met
• Troubleshooting and resolving any assembly issues that arise to get the line back up and running as quickly as possible
• Ensuring assembly data for daily production is properly generated and maintained
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Providing training to production assembly technicians, as required
• Other responsibilities as required

The successful candidates will possess:

• Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology program, Engineering Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 years minimum experience in a high tech electronics manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of assembly processes and tooling; Experience with jig and fixture design and manufacture;
• Familiarity with assembly procedures; Failure analysis and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to read/generate mechanical drawings and process flow diagrams
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills along with demonstrated technical and organizational abilities
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3-D modeling software
• Experience with Microsoft Visio would be asset
• Experience working in an ISO certified company would be an asset
