The Buyer works with project leaders and project estimators in the planning and execution of all company projects.  Effective buying is linked to ultimate customer satisfaction by helping project leaders get materials and equipment on time and on-budget through expediting and negotiation activity as well as periodic assessments of vendors and a vendor-list.  The Buyer is responsible for prioritizing buying activity to match day to day operational needs and long-term company success.

The ideal candidate:

• Has 3-5 years experience in industrial mechanical industry
• Experience should include industrial marine, heavy equipment, and/or factory
• Has experience in a purchasing role
• Familiarity with procurement software is preferred
• Aptitude for record keeping, teamwork, and initiative
