College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is a comprehensive technical College with a growing international reputation in the State of Qatar. We are seeking dynamic, adventurous people who are excellent leaders, culturally-sensitive and client-oriented, and we are now searching for a Banking Instructor commencing January 2010. If you are a Canadian citizen with excellent English language skills and are ready for a professional and personal adventure in the Middle East, we want to hear from you!
Duties: Instructors will plan, develop and deliver courses to students enrolled in the Banking program. They will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. Instructors will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. All instructors are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the College and beyond.
Qualifications: The successful candidates must possess a minimum of a business degree with extensive and recent related experience in the Canadian and/or Gulf banking industry. They will also have acquired a broad scope of banking credentials throughout their career. Teacher training and experience teaching at a post-secondary level as well as experience in Islamic banking are definite assets. Expertise in curriculum development is desirable. Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills combined with the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships are required. Excellent English language skills are essential.
