The Halifax Developmental Centre for Early Learning (formerly known as The Halifax Developmental Preschool), is a full-day program offered by the Halifax Association for Community Living. 

In your role as an Early Childhood Educator, you will have weekly program planning time, opportunities for professional development, a 40-hour work week and a salary range from $26,000 to $28,500 per year (dependant upon education and experience). This is a full-time, term position (maternity leave).
 
You will be working with a small group of children (2- 3 of them with special needs). An on-site library, specializing in disabilities, is available to you as you create your individual program plans for your children with special needs. Resource Assistants as well as a vast array of specialty toys and equipment, including a Snoezelen Room are at your disposal to assist you in achieving your program outcomes in our unique early learning centre. To ensure quality care delivery, you are required to have your Early Childhood Education Degree or Diploma as well as current First Aid/CPR certification. Preference will be given to applicants who a background in working with preschoolers with Special Needs.
