1.0 D – Resource Teacher – Minto Elementary Middle School

The role of the Resource Teacher is one of collaboration and consultation with teachers, parents and support services to assist with assessment and to define appropriate intervention/strategies that incorporate individual needs.

Applicants must have:
In this collaborative/consultative model, the resource teacher will assist with:

• Individual programming and monitoring of SEP's
• Assessments
• Resources and materials
• Liaising with outside agencies
• Situational Crisis
• Sound interpersonal, communication skills

Qualifications:

• New Brunswick Teachers' Certificate VI
• Master's degree in Education or a Master's degree in Special Education
• Familiarity and competency with curriculum and programs for the appropriate level
