ESRI Canada Limited has an immediate need for Technical Solutions Specialist in Atlantic Region Halifax Office to support the sales efforts in the Atlantic Region. This position will report to the Director, Atlantic Region and will work closely with the team to support sales, deliver training and services.
Technical Solutions Specialist Duties Include:
Pre-sales activities are designed to lead to the sale of products and services offered by ESRI Canada. These are performed during sales calls, seminars, proposals, benchmarks, etc.
- Team up with assigned account managers to generate sales
- Advise the customers on GIS requirements and strategies, architectures, product selection, and release planning
- Develop and deliver effective demonstrations of ESRI Canada's enterprise and some 3rd party GIS products that address client needs and competitive situations
- Assist the customers on decisions regarding software solutions, professional services needs, business partner selection, and training requirements
Post-sales activities are designed to lead to continued and expanded use of products and services offered by ESRI Canada and generate additional sales, development of good references, creation of customer satisfaction, and enhancement of ESRI Canada's image as a GIS solutions provider.
- Team up with account managers to perform regular key account reviews and follow ups
- Act as a technical advisor to provide annual GIS strategy review with key customers
- Perform fee-based installation and other post-sales services required by customers when required
- Prepare and teach standard and customized ESRI Canada training courses as required
General Activities:
- Provide technical sales support to the account team through the ESRI Sales Process
- Act as a business analyst in the development of benchmarks, proposals, and other pre-sales activities
- Work with ESRI Canada's Technical Marketing Group
- Review the impact of new product releases and competition with account team
Specific Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years technical experience working within the GIS industry
- ESRI GIS implementation experience
- Experience in presenting to key decision makers
- Willingness to travel within the Atlantic Region
- University Degree and/or Community College Diploma in related field of study
