Xeos Technologies Inc. is a small, fast growing, young company that develops and markets wireless telemetry products to the science, oceanographic and military markets. We have an immediate opening for a talented .NET developer. The hired candidate will develop and maintain .NET solutions. Working directly with clients this individual will play a key role in developing high quality products by performing system design, system analysis, product design, coding, defect verification, testing and support for assigned projects and products.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent understanding and hands-on experience in the use of Microsoft technology and .NET framework
- Demonstrated ability to develop applications to deadlines
- Experience and knowledge of software development methodologies and concepts
- Proficiency in the following technologies: VB/C#/C++, XML, SQL, Database Design, Object-Oriented Design,
- Strong multithreaded system programming skills in Windows platforms (2K/NT/XP)
- Good knowledge and understanding of Internet and networking TCP/IP protocol
- Good understanding of geographic information systems
- Good knowledge of current mapping applications including web based mapping systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Excellent communication and team-working skills
- Embedded development experience would be considered a strong asset
- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to obtain confidential ‘Level I’ security clearance
Salary & term: Competitive salary depending on experience. This is a permanent position based in Bedford, NS.
