Description:

We are currently seeking a high caliber Contracts Administrator to work on a contract basis for at least 1 year. Based in Saint John, New Brunswick, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.

You will have knowledge of and/or experience in the following:

  • EPC contractual issues
  • Utilization of various commercial methods
  • Change management and claims prevention skills
  • Working on alliance or joint venture projects

You must have experience in:

  • Working for an EPC company
  • Overall EPC contract planning, RFP development, issue, subsequent negotiation and award, management and field administration of complex high value engineering & construction contracts
  • Supervisory role(s)

Qualifications:

  • At least 510 years related experience
  • Post secondary training in Quantity Surveying, Procurement or Legal areas

Job Objectives:

  1. To ensure that the award and administration of contracts on projects is carried out in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
  2. To monitor the performance of awarded subcontracts, checking and agreeing the accuracy of monthly payment applications during the life of the subcontract and at completion of the work.
  3. To formulate change orders to existing subcontracts for change in scope and / or pricing.
  4. To assist in the review and settlement of any claims as may be raised by subcontractors.
  5. To assist in the preparation of change orders to the prime contract between company and client.
  6. Maintain standards of safety and comply with Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements.
  7. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
  8. Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
  9. Required skills/certificates – Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration and closeout relating to a multidiscipline construction project.

Previous EPC, Oil and Gas, Refinery and Construction experience is a definite asset.

These are 612 month contract opportunities (with a good possibility of extension). LOA will be provided within project parameters.
