Essential Qualifications–
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Successful completion of recognized course in Food Service Supervision - Nutrition Management or formal recognized training in food preparation, sanitation, management, including course in nutrition and diet therapy or Bachelor's degree with major in Foods and Nutrition.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of hospital personnel and other related persons.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills and team work abilities.
- Must demonstrate initiative, supervisory/management ability, as evidenced by prior work experience.
- Previous experience in Food Service industry.
- Prior hospital Food Service experience is an asset.
- Good previous work record. Must have the ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- All mandatory certifications must be up to date.

Basic Duties
To assist in the provision of nutrition care services to patients. Responsible for therapeutic diet/menu corrections, menu processing/menu meal inputting and patients' dietary intake tracking using computerized system (PICIS Dietary Manager). Work closely with dietitians, diet clerks, other food services supervisors (administrative), kitchen staff, as well as clerical staff on nursing units. Answer telephone and process requests regarding patient meal service.
