Our client, Fox Harb'r Golf Resort and Spa, has an immediate opening for a full-time/seasonal (April-October) Banquet Supervisor for its magnificent facility located along the picturesque Northumberland Strait near the small seaside community of Wallace, Nova Scotia. In addition to its five star accommodations and amenities, the property offers a world-class professional golf course, spa and conference facilities.

Qualifications:

Desireable Sommelier Accreditation, preferably WSET Higher Certificate.

ISG Diploma.

George Brown Sommelier Diploma.

Hospitality Degree or Program.

Requirements:

Ability to describe and advise on wine selection.

Ability to work days, evenings and split shifts, multi-task, and coordinate the performance of all banquet associates as well as room and facilities set- up and service.

Ability to carry food and bar trays, lift a minimum of 50 pounds and handle busy periods and long hours.

Knowledge of POS, wine and industry certifications an asset.

Experience:

A minimum two years experience as an Assistant Food and Beverage Outlet Manager in a recognized 4/5  Diamond Hotel or quality restaurant.

Experience in managing a team of multi-national staff working in a structured corporate environment.

Superior product service knowledge and ability to train others.

Min. 40 hours per week, hourly rate plus gratuities. Must be willing to relocate to the area and live within a 45 km radius.
