Our client, a nationally recognized educational institution with 7 campuses spread throughout Atlantic Canada, is currently seeking a Program Coordinator / Instructor to train and motivate students for their Health Information Program at their St. John’s NFLD campus.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the overall coordinator of the HIM. Program
- Provide Instruction to a portion of the curriculum
- Interact with provincial Health authorities regarding student practicum placements
- Liaising with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA)
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal and organizational skills
- Motivational
Required Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree
- Registered with the Canadian College of Health Information Management, and be an active member of CHIMA
- Minimum 6 years experience as a practicing Health Information Management professional within an institution and/or agency directly related to the health industry.
