River Valley Health has an immediate opportunity for a temporary part-time (0.7 FTE)
Licensed Practical Nurse in the Emergency Department at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton.

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, you will act as a liaison between patients, families and the Emergency Department to extend comfort and support, explain processes, inform about delays, answer non-medical questions and offer direction.  You will also be expected to handle complaints and serve as a "central unit" for patients and families to discuss anxieties and resolve problems in the Emergency Department.

Qualifications: 

• Active registration with ANBLPN
• Current BCLS certification – C level
• Minimum 2 years medical/surgical nursing experience
• Oral interaction, reading and writing skills in English and oral interaction in French as demonstrated by a level 2 certificate from the Department of  Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour
• Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Program
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations and rapidly changing priorities
• Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, communication and team building skills
