Essential Qualifications: Qualifications in bold must be verified on internal application forms:
- Successful completion of a course for Nursing Assistants from an approved school and currently registered in the Province of New Brunswick or eligible for such registration.
- Education relating to Community Nursing is required.
- Education and experience related to medical/surgical care, medication administration, phlebotomy and physical assessment.
- Must be bilingual in accordance with South-East Regional Health Authority policy, ie. ability to speak and write English and ability to speak French.
- The ability to function within the expected competencies for LPN's.
- Bilingualism an asset.
- Valid drivers' license and a good driving record.
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the clients, family, other community care providers and the interdisciplinary team.
- The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- The ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and participate as part of a health care team, attending and contributing to regular team and unit meetings.
- Mentally and physically able to perform assigned duties.
- Must have good work records with the ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- All mandatory certifications must be up to date, including BLS.
Although this position will be based at the Tantramar (Sackville) unit, the incumbent may also be required to work shifts at the Driscoll (Moncton) unit.
