Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable primarily as provider, coordinator, leader and advocate of quality patient-centered care. The RN utilizes assessment, problem identification, learning potential, coaching, teaching and education skills to assist patients to manage actual and/or potential health problems arising from responses to their health-illness experience.

Qualifications:

• Current Registration (or eligibility) with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia is required.
• 2–3 years Current knowledge and extensive experience in emergency nursing required.
• CCNP certification is required.
• Demonstrated ability to cope with multiple demands in a dynamic work setting required.
• Demonstrated  competence in interpersonal interactions required
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to function both as a team member and independently required.
• Previous work attendance may be considered.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
