River Valley Health has an immediate opportunity for a permanent full-time Nurse Manager at the Tobique Valley Hospital in Plaster Rock.
The Nurse Manager provides leadership to the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care through planning, organizing and coordination of resources; ensures that patient care meets standards of practice and systems/processes of care are continually improving; responds to emergency codes and functions as the facility ERO in the absence of the Facility Manager; acts as a facilitator to resolve problems and conflict, promoting teamwork throughout the building; participates in planning and delivering patient care to clients/families; acts as clinical administrative resource for staff; manages the human, financial and material resources to provide care; maintains effective interpersonal communication and productive relationships with manager, staff, patients and families. Travel throughout the Region is required.
Qualifications:
- Active registration with NANB
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing or a relevant discipline
- Minimum five years progressive nursing experience, including recent medical, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric and cardiac nursing experience and skills
- Current BCLS certification and current ACLS or willing to attain
- Demonstrated teaching, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Demonstrated planning, organization, group facilitation and problem-solving skills
