Job Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Ambulatory Care Nurse Manager, the nurse of the Ophthalmology Clinic will organize, develop, coordinate, and maintain patient care services. In addition to educating patients in the Ophthalmology Clinic and providing follow-up care on an ongoing basis, the successful candidate will organize and develop ophthalmology programs, according to the demand.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing;
- Five years extensive nursing experience in the field of ophthalmology;
- Bilingualism (English and French);
- Functional knowledge of Word and other software programs;
- Ability to work independently and lead a team;
- Successful completion, within set time, frame of required ophthalmology certification programs for medical delegated functions and advanced nursing skills specific to the ophthalmology clinic.
