We're looking for ambitious, results driven sales professionals to join our team in driving new account acquisitions.  SkillSoft is a leading provider of on-demand e-learning and performance support solutions, and you'll be providing these e-learning solutions to companies within the US and Canadian marketplace.  Ideally you have previous business-to-business solution selling experience in either an inside or field sales environment.

Job Description:

Upon successful completion of our in house training program, incumbents will embark upon a rewarding career as "hunters"; bringing their prospecting skills to a new level. They will walk prospective clients through the entire sales cycle beginning with prospecting and concluding with a customized business solution for a new customer. The ultimate goal of this position is to broaden the SkillSoft customer base and develop long term business relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities with potential customer accounts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new buying accounts
  • Utilize professional selling expertise and business acumen to meet and exceed sales targets within a broad book of business

Job Requirements:

  • Post secondary education is preferred
  • A tested and proven track record in sales, with 2-5 years experience, B2B preferred
  • Experience selling in a consultative sales approach environment up to C-level customers
  • Experience with cold calling, business development and account development

Skills Required:

  • Competitive, goal orientated, self motivated individuals who thrive in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A resourceful and creative individual with excellent time management skills
  • Advanced negotiation and objection handling skills are essential in this role

Compensation:

  • On target earnings of $70,000+  (includes a base salary of $37,000 with commissions from dollar one)
  • Unlimited commission structure (uncapped)

Working Hours:             Monday - Friday, business hours - 40 hours per week and as needed
