Director of Fund Development

Our client, Easter Seals Nova Scotia\Abilities Foundation of Nova Scotia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced fundraising professional to join its team as Director of Fund Development. Their joint mission is to “enable Nova Scotians with physical disabilities to enhance their quality of life by realizing their individual potential.”

In this key senior management role, you will assume overall responsibility for all fundraising activities of the Foundation including special event fundraising projects, major gifts and planned giving initiatives, direct response campaigns and other fundraising efforts. Reporting to the President and CEO, you will manage all formulation, execution and evaluation of fund development programs. 

As the ideal candidate, you have proven fund development success in the not-for-profit sector and possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills which enable you to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders. You are particularly skilled at inspiring and motivating staff and volunteers and facilitating donor involvement, interest and support. You will bring to this position energy, maturity and professional dynamism honed from your previous professional achievements, as well as an integrated perspective to fund development. Sensitivity to those with physical disabilities and an inclusive approach is a must for this role.
