Insurance Advisors are individuals who care about providing top quality advice to clients regarding their insurance needs. Working in a non-commissioned sales environment, our Insurance Advisors can feel confident in the fact that they are able to ensure that client needs are of utmost concern during their consultative discussions. Through the Retail Insurance Branches, clients are offered a convenient way to connect with an Insurance Advisor in-person and in the privacy of a branch office. Clients often find insurance to be a topic that is difficult to understand and as such, our Insurance Advisors become a confidant. Because Insurance Advisors are dual-licensed to sell home, auto, life and travel insurance, they are also regarded as a trusted source of expertise.

Candidates interested in applying for this role should be motivated to achieve sales targets, develop client relationships and use their insurance skills and knowledge to build insurance plans that help protect their clients. Client contacts are generated through a variety of sources including company and personally generated leads, opportunity spotting, and proactive business development activities. Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience (previous insurance sales experience preferred but not required)
  • Possession of either the Life License (LLQP) or General Insurance License is considered required (however training is provided to assist new hires in obtaining the license that is not already held)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player who is a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Proven experience in meeting sales objectives, referral generation, developing centers of influence, and relationship building

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accelerates premium growth by maximizing opportunity spotting with all clients to enhance cross-selling sales activities, referrals and client retention
  • Insurance product sales (Property & Casualty, Life & Health, and Travel insurance)
  • Provides existing clients with excellent advice and a positive client experience necessary to retain their business and to sell additional products
  • Build both internal and external networks to capitalize on business opportunities and referrals to attract new business
  • Assist in after-sales service for clients by acting as a single point of contact for customers in renewing and servicing insurance products
  • Consistently provides superior client experience and service to scheduled and walk-in clients in addition to requests received by telephone
