Responsibilities:

Marsh's Captive Solutions Group seeks an Account Administrator for its newly opened Technical Center of Excellence in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will assist in servicing a broad range of insurance clients.  These clients are predominantly insurance subsidiaries of Fortune 500 companies.

Specific job requirements include:

• Assist in preparing periodic financial statements in accordance with both Canadian and US GAAP.
• Responsible for maintaining all client financial records including managing the general ledger, assisting in responding to client requests and processing payments.
• Liaising with auditors to complete annual GAAP and statutory audits as required.
• Completing special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

• An undergraduate degree in business, specialization in accounting preferred.
• Financial statement preparation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Be highly self motivated yet able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to take on new responsibilities when needed.
• Experience within the insurance industry preferred.
