Librarian - Intern
Employment beginning in January 2009 or May 2009
Possibility of one year contract
New Brunswick Public Library Service (NBPLS) invites New Brunswickers completing their studies in a Masters program in Library and/or Information Science at an accredited Canadian university to apply for employment as a Librarian-Intern.
The location of work and the responsibilities will be determined based on several factors including the permanent place of residence of the candidate and the operational needs of NBPLS.
The employment program is designed to offer the successful candidates the opportunity to acquire professional experience in a public library setting. NBPLS will ensure that a variety of learning opportunities are offered in areas of endeavor such as library management, circulation service, reference and reader's advisory service, library programming activities for a range of ages, special projects and technical services.
