Payroll Administrator
Back Office Administration Support
Location: Halifax

Located in Halifax, Back Office Administrative Support Inc. provides clients strategic and cost efficient solutions to manage human capital resources.

Due to growth over the past few years, we are seeking a Payroll Administrator.
 
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely payroll information including processing weekly & biweekly payroll as well payroll changes including new hires, status changes and terminations. Other responsibilities will include maintaining employee files, handling inquires from various levels of staff, 3rd party remittances and running & creating reports using the ADP reporting software.

In addition to being a highly motivated, analytical and results orientated individual, the successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • 2-3 years direct unionized payroll experience
  • Level 2 CPA designation (minimum)
  • Experience using ADP Pay@Work, PCPW, People@Work Software & Ez Labour
  • Basic knowledge of employment labour standards
  • Ability to speak French would be considered a definite asset
  • Proven track record of effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously as well as ability to work at a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Detailed orientated
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong analytic and problem solving ability
  • Proficient computer skills, Excel
