Health & Safety Officer (Mining Specialty)

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.

The Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission of New Brunswick is accepting applications for the permanent position of Health & Safety Officer (mining specialty) in Bathurst, New Brunswick. This position may particularly interest applicants with a hard rock underground mining background looking for an exciting career that offers daily challenges.

The Position

The Health and Safety Officer will inspect, investigate and test workplace conditions to ascertain standards for safe and healthy workplaces. In this role, you will initiate and follow up corrective action to improve these situations and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations, as well as any other applicable standards.
