Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed with the New Brunswick Pharmaceutical Society, or eligible for licensure. 
  • Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program and recent experience in clinical pharmacy practice is preferred. 
  • As the ideal candidate you must be highly motivated; able to work in a team environment; possess excellent organizational and communication skills; responsible for own professional development and commit to lifelong learning.
  • Good previous attendance and performance records.
  • All mandatory certifications must be up to date.

Basic Duties:

To provide pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities Include: assessment of patient-specific medication regimen; identification of actual or potential medication therapy issues; communication with team members to optimize safe and appropriate medication use; provision of education concerning medication use for patients, caregivers or team members;  promotion of continuity of care activities; acting as preceptor for pharmacy students and residents and mentoring of pharmacists through staff development initiatives.
