Position Scope:

Responsible for providing Physiotherapy Service to clients/patients referred to the Rehabilitation Services Program.  This will include In-patients, Out-patients, the Restorative Care unit and Community Care. Although mostly an adult service, some pediatric work will be included.  The Physiotherapist will exhibit sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework of the objectives of the service and the organization as a whole.  Travel within the District will be required and will be paid as per District policy.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be a graduate of a recognized School of Physiotherapy
• Candidates must be licensed by the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
• Current membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while effectively planning, organizing, supervising and communicating both verbally and in writing
• Must be adaptable and flexible to adjust to the changing needs of the service and the program/facility
• Previous experience in Out-patients/Community an asset
