The Role of the Manager
We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Manager in our Kentville office, to assist in the leadership and growth of our Assurance and Business Advisory practice. Your role as a key member of our multi-disciplined team will be focused on client service and business development.
Responsibilities
- Leading and executing client engagements, while providing exceptional client service to a wide variety of business sectors
- Planning and leading teams ensuring that client expectations are clearly communicated
- Proactive problem solving with the team and the client
- Being a leader in the business unit, service line, and firm by actively contributing to the development and execution of the office business plan
- Contributing to new business development by understanding Grant Thornton and its service lines, as well as utilizing your credibility in the field
- Participating in the coaching and performance management process of the practice by conducting timely performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback and training to develop junior team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the audit and accounting field
- CA designation is required
- Demonstrated experience in practice development, business development and management
- A team player able to rally resources and work with others to meet the needs of the client
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Strong interest in coaching and development, with a commitment to personal growth
- Demonstrated ability to meet the professional and competency expectations of the position
