We are currently sourcing a SOA Tester for large integrated delivery projects in financial services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews requirements, specifications and other deliverables for testability and to assist scoping testing effort.
• Complies with testing process (including tool usage and automation approach).
• Ensures requirements & test cases are logged into test management tool.
• Creates and executes manual test cases of low to medium complexity.
• Automates low complexity test cases as required (web and SOA environments).
• Logs defects into defect management tool following documented process.
• Responsible for fixing defects related to automated test scripts.
• Provides progress information to Test Lead or Manager.
• Attends defect triage meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Tester performing both manual and automation testing in the financial industry
• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
• Certified software tester preferred
• Good understanding of the software release process and testing methodologies (functional testing, regression testing and automation)
• Hands-on experience using HP Quality Center and ParaSoft SOA test or similar
• Financial services background preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Financial industry certification (CSC, CPH, CFP, CIBA, ICB or CFA) is a plus

Other Requirements (e.g. travel, shift work, on-call duty, overtime):
Some travel required.
