Job Description:
Are you a sales-oriented, self managed/motivated individual willing to work on 100% commission? Are you seeking a position with independence and flexibility, while still working with the strength of the RBC Brand?
As a mobile, self-directed sales professional, you will meet with clients and promote RBC products and services that meet their investment and retirement planning needs, with a flexible work schedule based on client's availability and location. As an Investment and Retirement Planner, you will be responsible for developing local business opportunities and seeking out new customers through the development of relationships within the community and centers of influence. You will enhance the experience of existing, investment-centric customers, who are not being account managed, by being accessible and proactively providing customer-focused investment solutions and advice.

Requirements:
Knowledge/Accreditations:
- In addition to possessing either Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC), candidates must hold a Financial Planning designation, either Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- The ideal candidates will have expertise in financial planning
Experience:
- Previous successful sales experience in the financial industry
- Proven application of business acquisition, establishing community and client relationships, and with success in business growth
- Proven track record of success in investment sales
- Experience creating a referral network or possesses a current extensive network of centres of influence
Skills/Competencies/Attributes:
- A strong sales orientation and a demonstrated passion for putting clients first
- Entrepreneurial mindset – able to seek out and develop new business
- Strong relationship builder - able to establish both internal and external working relationships in order to identify and implement strategies for business growth
- Strong computer skills will help you in your working routines
Education:
- A post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience is required.

- Provides solutions and financial advice through financial planning approach that satisfies client's investment and retirement needs while leveraging RBC Financial Group expertise and corporate policies
- Refers and anchors clients with the appropriate delivery channel within RBC Financial Group.
- Developing local business opportunities and seeking out new customers through the development of relationships within the community and centers of influence
