Wells Fargo is now hiring sales focused professionals for the role of Credit Manager in the Halifax Regional Municipality and New Glasgow region.

This is primarily an entry-level, financial sales position which functions under close guidance from the store manager or delegate.  The incumbent will be required to complete training programs, meet specific business development goals and assist with various office administration tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Closes loans, mortgages and markets supplementary services;
  • Achieves specific business development goals;
  • Develops business by contacting customers in person, by phone or by mail;
  • Completes required training programs according to an established training schedule;
  • Takes credit applications and processes through identified procedures;
  • Keeps superior and/or management team informed about any problems or issues that could impact the store operation or achievement or assigned goals

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • One to two years' related experience;
  • Strong interpersonal, sales and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business and assess credit;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately handle cash and administrative functions;
  • Completion of post secondary education is an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of e-mail, Word and Excel software is required;
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license;
  • Ability to transfer would be an asset
