Under the direction of the Retail Store Manager, the Electronics Manager plans, coordinates and manages the operations of the Electronics, Furniture and Appliances departments while implementing advertising and promotions programs. He/She supervises employees, coordinates sales staff and reviews achievement of operational and financial goals. The Electronics Manager conducts market research for new products and trends. He/she implements, reviews and maintains stock control programs, orders merchandise and applies loss prevention controls.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, or in a related field, and some years of experience in retail, or in a related field
or - High school diploma and several years experience in retail, or a related field
Language requirement: English essential, bilingualism (French / English) an asset.
Knowledge Requirements
- Of home theatre products, electronic equipment, satellite dish and appliances
- Of the set up and use of home computers, laptops and digital cameras
- Of marketing methods and product presentation
- Of personnel management
- Of employee labour relations and union proceedings
- Of budget administration
- Of loss prevention
- Of health and safety practices
Experience Requirements
- In sales
- In the operation of cash systems
- In visual merchandising
- In personnel administration
- In cash handling
- In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing
Salary: $ 36,120 - $ 42,500 per annum
Successful candidate will be prepared to commence employment as soon as possible.
