| The Ideal Candidate |
The candidate who will be the most effective in this position is a person who has had previous experience in professional counselling within an organization or an individual whom recently graduated from a Masters degree, within a relevant Social Work or Counselling topic, and pertains practicum in the field. |
| Job Description |
As Tele Counsellor you will recieve prescreened calls from Client Care Representatives with clients in need. The Tele Counsellor is responsible for ensuring warm and professional access to services by employees and families of customer organizations, assessing needs accurately and channeling the client into the appropriate stream of service for efficient and professional support. |
| Responsibilities |
- Conduct initial assessment of incoming calls in order to ensure immediate and efficient follow up care was provided by internal / external resources. - Provide crisis counselling, intervention and critical incident response, such as finding immediate care or contacting emergency resources for clients. - Provide telephone counseling regarding traumatic workplace events. |
| Requirements |
- You will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling or Education with counselling. Ideally complemented by clinical experience. - You are a member of, or qualify to be registered with a professional association. - You have previous experience of EAP counselling, addiction assessment and/or trauma services. - You have the ability to work rotating shifts. - You are Bilingual in English and French (ability in Spanish is also desirable but not essential). |
