Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Technical Director, Diagnostic Imaging and to the Head, Diagnostic Imaging. This position is responsible for coordinating the radiopharmaceutical/radiochemical operations for Positron emitting radioisotopes (PER's) and for Single Photon emitting radioisotopes (SPER's). This includes overseeing, monitoring, and maintaining the radiopharmaceutical quality assurance program; establishing, maintaining and reviewing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with the applicable regulatory bodies.

The incumbent is also responsible for fostering and supporting research activities and for developing education programs for medical, technical, pharmacy staff and students in Atlantic Canada.

Please note: This position is located in the Nuclear Medicine/ PET CT department

Qualifications:
*PhD in radio pharmacy, radiochemistry or a related field in Molecular Medicine
*Minimum of three years of post PhD experience in PER's, Nuclear Medicine Radio pharmacy, Cyclotron Operations or a related area, and an established publication record
*Extensive knowledge radio pharmacy and radiochemistry
*Ability to conduct independent and collaborative research
*Excellent organizational ability
*Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
*Ability to problem solve
*Working knowledge of computers.
*Previous experience in some aspect of direct service provision in a clinical setting

Hours of Work:
Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
