Our client, a leading engineering services provider in the off-shore oil and gas sector, is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a contract position located in St. John's, Newfoundland. Reporting to the discipline engineering group, you will assist in the daily operational functions of the mechanical engineering group with respect to technical requirements of current projects. Specifically, you will provide support in the troubleshooting of issues related to FPSO equipment, plan and prepare for major repairs and maintenance, assess existing equipment for and shortfalls in design and operating reliability, and provide technical advice with regard to modifications of existing equipment and the design of new equipment.

To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, exposure to the off-shore oil and gas sector, and a demonstrated knowledge of design, maintenance, and operation of rotating machinery and static mechanical equipment as related to off-shore facilities.
